The Lord Shiva Hindu Temple was established on 4th June, 2011 in Zuidoost, Amsterdam. Our sole objective is to serve the people with several religious and personalized services in concern to the Hindu religion in order to cater the spiritual needs of the people of the community. In a short span of time itself, we gained commendable and overwhelming support of the devotees from all over the Netherlands and neighboring countries that enabled us to take high leaps and reach new heights making us grow in our prospective arena.
The temple comprises the idols of various multiple deities such as Shiv Parivaar, Lord Ganesha, Maa Durga, Lord Hanuman, Lord Surya, Ram Sita, Radha Krishna, Maa Kaali, Maa Saraswati, Sai Baba, Laddu Gopal and the Panch Mukhi Shivling as the main core of the temple placed under the one roof that can be worshipped throughout 365 days of a year, thereby giving a sense of religious satisfaction and bringing spiritual enhancement. The temple offers for the arrangements of various poojas, hawans, Jagran, marriages, all 16 sanskar pooja, religious discourses like bhajans, kirtans, indeed, all the ceremonies from the first rites to the last rites. Special provision of ‘langar’ (popularly known as serving food to the devotees) is provided everyday in a separate langar hall within the temple itself.
The temple celebrated various religious events in distinguished ways whether it comes to the Grand Shoba Yatra’ of the Krishna Janamashtami or it is the celebration of ‘Maha Shivratri’ by Rudrabhishek, or is the ‘Ravan Dehan’ during the Dussehra, each time the temple has observed remarkable admirance by the devotees along with their immense participation and commendable spiritual devotedness that is humbly appreciable. Also, the other festivals of Lohri, Holi and Diwali are celebrated continuously with great spiritualness (in short all religius festival of Sanatan Dharma).
In response to the devotee’s credible love and constantly recognized support, the temple continuously makes efforts in delivering religious services efficiently and also plays a significant role in fulfilling the varied spiritual needs of the devotees with great enthusiasm and dedication.
